Good Day Noir Family,
our “Edgar Allan Poets’ Artists/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Cooper Castelle. I liked the atmosphere created by his new single You Were The One.

This artist immediately made me think of the past with his “vintage” compositional style. His music is unique as it manages to mix the 80s and 90s vibes.

An intriguing blend. The voice reminded me of 80’s punk like The Clash while the musical arrangement definitely sounds 90’s.

You Were The One releases beautiful energy that keeps you glued to the speakers from the first to the last second.

The chord progression is interesting because it has the right harmonic and rhythmic variations. A song with a fresh melody that hides a veil of sadness.

Production is good. I would have pushed a little more on the sound of the guitars to give more energy in general and make the sound more epic.

Cooper Castelle’s sound choice is however coherent as it makes his music even more direct and sincere and probably for this reason his sound is so unique.

An artist to keep under the radar as he produces great songs.
