Good Day Noir Family,
I already reviewed Scarlet Mill in the past but they are back with a new cool single and I want to share my opinion about it.
You’re Mine is Scarlet Mill’s Single
The compositional skills of this duo are enhanced in this beautiful song.
A refined chord progression where every little nuance is kept under control and taken care of in every detail.
This is a magical and hypnotic song. While I was listening to this intriguing melody I imagined myself flying over Los Angeles, like the one in the first scene of Blade Runner where you see the city in 2019.
Today we are older than the future represented by that film but every time we watch it we go back to that past which is the future in the film.
This represents very well the music of Scarlet Mill a continuous game between dimensions, time, and emotions that makes this music ethereal and unique.
Absolutely reconfirmed.
You’re Mine is Scarlet Mill’s Single Out Now!
Magical!
You’re Mine is Scarlet Mill’s Single
The song is a light-hearted, dark-wavy, gritty chanson. It is the second single from our upcoming second album, and will form some form of prologue to the tale to be told on that album.
In the first French part of this duet, the female character expresses her unconditional and selfless love over a serene, classical piano serenade. In the second, English dark-wavy part, the male grinds this to a stifling greed, devoid of all love. The classical sounds of the cello and clarinet, and the atmospheric guitars, bind the two pieces together. The song is inspired by early 4AD and Sylvian/Fripp neo-romanticism.
