our “E.A.Poets Approved/Bands We Like” section is dedicated to Apple Shakers. I discovered this Duo while shuffling songs on Spotify and I liked the fascinating weirdness of their music.
As soon as the first notes began to hit my ears I knew I was in for something different.
In the sound of this Duo, I heard Alice Cooper, My Chemical Romance sometimes the Offsprings, and in the guitar’s solos Jimi Hendrix.
This mix of modern and past elements absolutely convinced me.
These guys are not afraid to venture into uncharted territory and experiment with music.
The melodic structure of their songs is very interesting, continuous rhythmic and harmonic variations manage to entertain the listener from the first to the last second.
An innovative and irreverent band that does not look at anyone in the face and continues to go straight on their way offering us a very fascinating music.

Apple Shakers are an Alt Indie duo from East London. They pull inspiration from Indie, Psychedelia, Punk and Alt Rock which combine to create an honest and powerful guitar driven sound. The duo isn‘t restricted by their bodycount, they create a dynamic sound on the record and also live. ”When we‘re writing we don‘t think duo, we think big and make it work for us on stage.” – Basil
