Good Day Noir Family,
I’m always excited when there is a new Joe Pope’s song. His music always manages to reach deep inside me.

I am struck by the creativity of this artist and by the lyrics of his songs.

Somehow he manages to find the right words to express thoughts that I also have. Those moments when we remember people who are no longer here with us and we see them in the little things that can happen every day.

We all hope that there is a way to communicate between these two dimensions.

Maybe we are protected because opening up to such great emotions would not be possible for our human body.

The answers will come, but we must not be in a hurry and we need to enjoy these little things that make us think about our loved ones. They are now spirits and live in an eternal dimension that we can only imagine but not understand.

The delicacy of the melody of When the Wind Blows also emphasized by Lucia’s voice is another gift that Joe Pope gives us.

His music is deep and moving and it is always a pleasure to spend a few minutes in his musical universe.

Quote: “This is a song about the ghosts that we love. I wrote it about my folks who both passed too soon. It seems when I least expect it, they wander into my thoughts and I even see them in myself. I think the phrase from the song that best sums it up is “when the wind blows open the door, I wonder if it was you just saying hello. And when the wind blows open the door I wonder if you’re home.” It’s a very personal song and I hope it reaches you in your own way.
